Hello 11^th grade Parents/Guardians,

As the semester is slowly coming to an end the following are the remaining events that are occurring:

NACAC College Fair – April 26 (Permission slips will be sent out on Monday, April 16, 2018)

Financial Aid/College Information Presentation for 11^th grade parents and students – May 15 (more information to come)

DVC will be going through a WASC renewal this year. WASC is the accrediting agency for schools in California, and every 3 years they ask schools to complete a self-reflection and action plan report, visit the schools, then complete their own report before issuing us an accreditation. We need parent participation in the WASC process!

We are looking for a handful of parents (4-7) who are willing to commit to working in small groups alongside DVC staff and students on the self-reflection and report writing process over the next 6 months or so. We need parents who can either: a) meet in the morning during our morning PD times (generally Fridays, sometimes Mondays) at least once a month for 30-45 minutes, or, b) are proficient with google docs and would be able to participate remotely using an online document.

If this sounds like something you can do and would be interested in committing to, we would love to have you join us! Your support will be invaluable to the school as we complete this important project.
