From our Studio Orchestra teacher, Mr. Toby Harwell:
Studio Orchestra is a year-long seminar that meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3-4pm, and may count for up to 10 UC Fine Arts/Elective credits toward graduation. The driving goals of this ensemble are to celebrate life and diversity in a safe and creative space, and to facilitate artistic expression through the vehicle of music performance in the classical, jazz, and popular idioms. Through distance learning, students will also be immersed in the world and language of modern digital music production. A minimum of 2 years experience with a wind, brass, percussion, or string instrument, and/or vocal ensemble is required. Additionally, sight-reading and regular home-practice time will be expected. Instruments will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please login to the Google Classroom with code 5hnzzck to join, or contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any further questions.
