Great news, the PAST/NMSQT scores have been given to all sophomore students that took the test. If your student did not receive scores, but sat for the test, please reach out to our Assistant Principal, Adam Eynon, for score location. If your student was absent during the test, they will not have scores. Please be advised that all students will retake the PSAT/NMSQT in October. Please watch this video on how to understand the PSAT/NMSQT scores.
In case you were unable to attend sophomore night last week, here is a cheat sheet on some of the topics that were covered. Next there will be an in-class workshop on how to understand your DVC transcript and GPA. Students will also receive an unofficial copy of their transcript at that time.
We have not received hard copies of students’ PSAT scores yet, however, you can access them through College Board right now. Here is a video on how to access the College Board website. Here is a video on how to interpret your student’s PSAT scores.

DVC will be going through a WASC renewal this year. WASC is the accrediting agency for schools in California, and every 3 years they ask schools to complete a self-reflection and action plan report, visit the schools, then complete their own report before issuing us an accreditation. We need parent participation in the WASC process!
We are looking for a handful of parents (4-7) who are willing to commit to working in small groups alongside DVC staff and students on the self-reflection and report writing process over the next 6 months or so. We need parents who can either: a) meet in the morning during our morning PD times (generally Fridays, sometimes Mondays) at least once a month for 30-45 minutes, or, b) are proficient with google docs and would be able to participate remotely using an online document.
If this sounds like something you can do and would be interested in committing to, we would love to have you join us! Your support will be invaluable to the school as we complete this important project.
