Hi Parents and Guardians of DVC Class of 2022 / Rising Juniors,
I know this email goes mostly to parents and guardians, so please forward this onto your rising 11th grade students! We are looking to create plans for next year and we’d like to know which students in the Class of 2022 would like to continue with a third year of language through Rosetta Stone, and which students are satisfied with completing two years of language. Just so you know, two years of a language is required for both consideration at the Universities of Cailfornia (UCs) and California State Universities (CSUs) as well as for our Da Vinci Graduation Requirements, but a third year of language is optional. Of course, successful completion of a third year of language reflects positively on a student’s transcript when applying to any college. If you have questions about this language requirement, please reach out to Stacey España (firstname.lastname@example.org) or me. Our school counselors are taking a much-deserved break, but both Stacey and I will be happy to help answer any questions you have.
