Ice Skating Friday (flyer attached) – Tickets sold at lunch!

Next weeks is SLCs and the schedule is as follows:

• ·         Monday 4/28 : Minimum day 9:00am to 1:30pm, SLCs after school by appointment
• ·         Tuesday 4/29 : Minimum day 9:00am to 1:30pm, SLCs after school by appointment
• ·         Wednesday 4/30 : Field trip, normal school day 9:00am to 3:55pm
• ·         Thursday 5/1 : Minimum day 9:00am to 1:30pm, SLCs after school by appointment
• ·         Friday 5 /2 : Minimum day late start 10:00am to 2:30pm

Families – A BIG thank you for all who attended Exhibition! WOW our students worked hard and their 2nd exhibition rocked it!

Our last Shakey’s fundraiser was a success as was our See’s fundraiser. We will be using the proceeds for our student’s trip to see a play! What a great experience for our students.

This week students will be selling Ice Skating tickets at lunch for our fundraiser this Friday, April 25. Tickets are $10.00/person and includes skate rental.

The second parent workshop will be held on Tuesday, April 8^th from 6-7pm in Ms. Vance’s room (103) at the Design/Communications Campus

• This workshop will focus on how parents can preserve quality time with their children in the fast paced world of technology.  Parents will discover positive ways to utilize technology yet stay connected through authentic face to face time.  The event will provide parents with tools to encourage their teens to become self-reliant, effective, and safe users of technology.
• The discussion will be facilitated by Fay Van Der Kar Levinson, Ph.D., Child Psychologist, Julia Hobbs, M.A., C.C.C., Communication Specialist, and Caroline Packman, Parent in the Trenches.

• Students are all expected to be present for the whole event (until 8:00pm) and in professional dress (dress pants, collared shirt and tie for boys)

See’s Candy orders due NO LATER THAN MONDAY 4/7 so we can deliver on time for spring break and Easter!

Spring Break is April 14^th – April 21^st.  (School resumes on Tuesday 4/22 for students)

Family ICE SKATING – April 25th!

Tickets will be sold 4/22 – 4/25 for our Friday, April 25th Ice Skating Night! Tickets are $10 per person and that includes admission and skates. More information will be sent in the next few days.

The Classic Car Club at Design is hosting a car wash this Sunday at Science. Flyer will be distributed soon

STAFF vs STUDENTS Soccer Game! – Come out and support the students and staff in their friendly soccer game on Thursday, March 27th at 4:30 in Del Aire Park!

FAMILY MEAL NIGHT – Thursday, March 27th, 5-9. Come any time – don’t forget to leave your receipt!

SEE’S CANDY FUNDRAISER – Students will be bringing home forms Monday for See’s candy just in time for EASTER! Send your orders in with your money before April 11th and please have your student give those orders to Kim Merrit. Kim Young will pick them up on April 11th and deliver your orders to you the following week. One stop shopping – get your Easter goodies and support your school.
