We hope that everyone has had a wonderful first few days of summer. As you relax, perhaps work your first job, or see family over the next couple months there are various ways in which you can master additional content and earn credits over the summer. Here is a quick outline of what summer credit/advancement options are available:
Summer School
If you submitted a summer school sign-up form, you have been accepted, so just show up! Summer school signups have been completed and we will see everyone who signed up over at Da Vinci Science’s campus this coming Monday June 15th (or if you signed up for session 2, we’ll see you Monday July 6). Please drop off students in the Dana Parking Lot and enter through the gate that connects the Dana Parking Lot to the Da Vinci Science Campus.
Math and ALEKS Progress
Every student received a sheet of paper outlining the ways in which students can raise their grades from last semester or advance to the next level of math over the summer. If you want to advance to the next math level make sure you look at the sheet of paper outlining where you have to get to in order to start the year in the next cohort of students.
Expired Accounts
We know that some students’ ALEKS accounts are set to expire today. We have renewed those accounts with ALEKS, but it may take them another couple days to active them. If you lose access to ALEKS this weekend, do not worry, it will be active again in the next couple days with no lost progress.
Rosetta Stone and Foreign Language
All students also received a sheet of paper describing how they can work over the summer to increase their grade or move ahead a level in foreign language. Students can work on Rosetta Stone and at the beginning of the upcoming school year we will adjust grades or even add credit for a summer course if a whole new level was completed. See the foreign language sheet for details.
