TASS
Nominations are due tomorrow 12/01! If you’re interested in being nominated please contact Brittany Goodacre.
TASS is a free 6-week program for high school sophomores. Led by two professors, 12 to 18 students will live together in a residence hall at the host university. For the year of 2017, the seminars will be covering the following topics: The Opposite House: Grieving Time in Space and Place (Cornell I); Black Feminist Thought (Cornell II), The Black Struggle for Freedom: An Interdisciplinary Perspective (Michigan I), and Performance, Gender, Race and Culture in the Harlem Renaissance and in Parisian Negritude (Michigan II). There will be no charge for tuition, books, or room and board. Counselors and teachers must nominate sophomores that they feel will benefit from the TASS summer program by December 1.

Breakfast with Counselors-Tuesday December 6th, 2016
Breakfast with the counselors (both Brittany and Ariana) will be Tuesday 12/06 at 8:15am, classroom TBD – you can check in the office for directions to the room day off. Prepare your queries accordingly friends!
Service Hours Opportunity
Hollyglen Neighborhood Association Holiday Movie Night is seeking 4-5 student volunteers to help out during the event.
The event is taking place on Saturday, December 10th, 2016. They ask that volunteers show up at 3pm to help set up. Then they will serve as greeters, pass out popcorn, and hot chocolate until the movies starts at 5:45pm. The event should be over by 7:30pm. They have also offered to cover dinner for volunteers from the Grilled Cheese Truck.
