Counseling Services at DVD & DVC

Parents, join us this week as we talk about Counseling Services offered to Student at DVD and DVC. The Information sessions will take place Tuesday-Thursday this week from 2 pm to 2:30 pm inside the DVD board room. We will be talking about the different roles of the counselors here at Da Vinci Schools, warning signs, and outside resources that we offer as well. 

Junior Family Meetings

Brittany will be conducting individual family meetings with Juniors in May. Sign ups will be available during SLC’s this week. Please make sure you sign up for a time slot after your presentation, a computer will be available in each classroom.

Black History Month

I would like to celebrate and congratulate all of our students who contributed, ran and performed at today’s Black History Month Community Dialogue. It was a beautiful event, with incredible performances all centered around the theme of connecting the past to the present.

I would especially like to celebrate all of our Black Student Union members! Your guidance for this Community Dialogue, as well as your planning and execution of advisory lessons for the past three weeks was incredible. Students, you have once again shown us how much you can take on to shape the wonderful culture here at DVC!

Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program

The Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program (SIP) is a FREE, 7-week summer program for current 10th and 11th grade girls to learn computer science, get exposure to tech jobs and join a supportive sisterhood of thousands of girls across the U.S. We also provide a need-based summer stipend to cover transportation and living costs for students who qualify.

9^th Grade Permission Slips – 72andSunny Field Trip

9^th Grade families – today all students received a permission slip for the field trip to 72andSunny to learn about the advertising industry and how college connects to working in a professional industry. We are going on the field trip tomorrow, so please make sure to sign the field trip form tonight so your student can go on this trip!

DVX Family Info Night – Tonight @ 5:30pm

We will be holding an additional date in a DVC classroom in the next few weeks, so if you cannot make this meeting (we realize this is very short notice) you can feel confident that there will be an additional meeting coming up soon.

Wiseburn – Da Vinci’s first CIF Girls Softball team is looking for players, no experience necessary.  The last day to join the Softball team for this year will be Thursday, February 16^th.

Meet at the baseball diamond at Del Aire Park, 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with cleats and a glove. We need both experienced and no experience players. If you do not have a glove or cleats, but want to play, just show up and check it out.
