We are about to make an historic move to a brand new building this coming year! In preparation for the move, we have been and are gathering comments and questions and will be hosting in informational meeting and discussion the week after we return from Spring Break. Below are details on the meeting, as well as a survey we would love for you to complete so that we can address all questions you may have about our move.

Exhibition – Thursday, April 6^th

Remember that exhibition is coming up next Thursday, April 6^th, 6:00pm to 8:00pm. All students are required to present their work, and we are excited to invite all parents, family members and friends to come see the great work students have put together this semester!

Application Timeline:

April 17^th:  Applications due

• Submit resume and cover letter to Natasha Morse (nmorse@davincischools.org).  Please indicate in the email which internship(s) you are applying for and save your resume and cover letter in pdf format as “FirstName_LastName_Resume” and “FirstName_LastName_CoverLetter”

April 26^th:  Mandatory Internship Interview Fair from 4:00pm-5:30pm at Da Vinci Design with companies/managers to match students with internship placements.

Other internship details:

DATES: Internships run from July 3^rd – August 11^th (6 weeks)

HOURS: 10 to 20 hours per week.  Students will create schedule with their manager. If students have a few days that they cannot attend due to family vacations, etc. that is fine as long as they let Natasha and their manager know in advance.

ELIGIBILITY: Students must be eligible to receive a work permit to participate in the internship program.  To receive a work permit, students are required to:

• Have no I’s and no more than 10 tardies as of April 17^th*

SCHOOL CREDIT: Students have the opportunity to earn 5 pass/fail credits for completing an internship.

Riordan Scholars Program

Riordan Scholars Program is accepting applications for next year’s class.  The program is provided on a tuition FREE basis and is open to current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. The program targets students who will be the first in their family to attend college and are interested in enhancing their leadership skills and preparing for admission to college. Throughout the school year, students attend Saturday sessions at the UCLA Anderson School of Management to participate in SAT classes and workshops to develop their leadership and career skills, and receive guidance through the college admissions process.  The final application deadline is May 19, 2017.  Student may apply here: http://bit.ly/2018RiordanScholar

Seniors

Brittany will be running small group family meetings for all seniors Tuesday, April 18th-Friday, April 21st. This will be the time to talk about financial aid packages and any other questions you might have. Please take a moment to sign up for a time slot using the link below.

Junior Families, Brittany will be running individual family meetings in May 2017. It is important that each student/family attend, this will be the time to talk about transcripts, test scores, and how to prepare for Senior year.
