Thank you to everyone who has already signed up. It’s not too late to still sign up to bring food for teachers, and we could use some more volunteers for proteins and mixed greens tomorrow, and for Friday for the Deli bar. We want to celebrate our teachers all week long to show how much we appreciate all that they do. The theme we will be going for as far as food is “Bar None- You’re The Best Teacher’s Around” which will give us an opportunity to set up themed Bar Stations all week long for the teachers to enjoy such as Yogurt Bar, Breakfast Bar, etc. We are asking Da Vinci Families for donations so we could make Teacher Appreciation Week as special as possible. Attached you will find a google sheet where you can sign up for as many things as you would like, please be sure to see the example of how to add your name and phone or email address. Non-perishable items could be sent with students at your earliest convenience. We kindly ask that items that cannot be stored at room temperature be brought in the morning of. We thank you all for your support and look forward to hearing from you all soon. 10^th and 11^th grade DVC students share their ideas for the future of public transportation in Los Angeles as part of a partnership with Metro’s Next Gen Initiative.

DVC Parents/Guardians,

11th Grade students will be taking The Smarter Balanced ELA and Mathematics test on May 8th and 9th. This test will reflect California’s rigorous academic standards and will allow students to demonstrate their critical thinking skills as well as their analytical writing skills.

Why does this test matter?

This test affects your child’s placement into college level math and English at CSU’s and community colleges!
