A Message from the DVC Computer Science Pathway:

Hello, People of Davinci Schools!

On October 3rd, the Computer Science Pathway is hosting an exhibition showcasing the web pages that we have worked on for the past 2 months. Meet in the common area of DVC for some presentations to understand the process we went through, play a Kahoot game organized by students, as well as interact with some student-made webpages. You can even bring your kids so they can get a look at our school. The students would love to see you here!

Come enjoy a cup of coffee and pastries with your Da Vinci Communications Counselors! Ms. Diana and Ms. Barba will be here to meet and greet you, as well as answering any questions you may have. This is a Q & A session with the counselors.

Time: 8:00 am – 9:00 am

Where: DVC Room 3101 – Fish Bowl 

Dana Middle School is looking for DV students to volunteer at the annual Spooktacular event on Friday, October 25, 2019. Students can register to volunteer by visiting this link.

The LA County Parks and Recreation has invited the young women of DVC to participate in the Girls Empowerment Conference next weekend. Students who attend can earn community service hours for their participation.

Date: Saturday, October 5, 2019

Time: 7:00am -3:30pm

Event Location: East LA College

Departure & return will be from Del Aire Park (12601 Isis Ave. Hawthorne, CA). Breakfast, lunch, and transportation provided.

Happy Friday, DVC Families!

Our 12th graders had a great time at Cal Poly Pomona today! The seniors learned about the EOP program and also spent time in the College of Business Administration. Our 11th graders went to the Museum of Tolerance today. The museum doesn’t allow you to use your electronic devices there, but I included a picture of some of our reflections. Enjoy the pictures!

Looking ahead: Student-led conferences are the week of October 7th!  I will post a separate blog post with links to sign-ups next week. Students are dismissed at 1:10pm on those days. There will also be a separate blog post about Cap and Gown Photo opportunities for seniors during this time.
