Hello Seniors!

Da Vinci schools is now partnering with Parchment: Digital Credential Services.  Parchment provides you with the ability to request official transcripts online and have them sent electronically and securely to the colleges, universities, or scholarship programs that you select.  Soon you will receive an email with your registration code and instructions on how to create your online account with Parchment.  Once you create your account, you will have the opportunity to request your official high school transcript be sent to the college you select.  After you make your request, your official (and final) high school transcript will be processed after your final semester grades have been added into PowerSchool.  When your request has been processed, you will receive an email confirmation.

PROJECT CONSULTANCY SUMMER INTERNSHIP

Apply for a Remote Internship this Summer!

• What is it? Students will work with a team of other Da Vinci students and corporate mentors on several real projects aligned to employer and industry needs alongside CoLabL Talent Accelerator. Please review the below documents for more information:

    • You’ll need:
      • An updated resume, saved in PDF form as “firstname_lastname_resume” 
      • Your cumulative GPA from PowerSchool
      • A maximum one page essay describing why you would like to participate, saved in PDF form as “firstname_lastname_essay”
  • Students will be informed of selection by June 8th at 5pm
• Dates: The project consultancies will run from July 6th-August 14th.
  • They will be 100% remote
• Hours: There will be 5-10 hours/week of work.  Students will work on 3 individual projects and 2 team projects during the internship.

Other details:

• • ELIGIBILITY: Open to all grade levels, but students are expected to communicate with industry partners and Natasha independent of parents/guardian.  Students are expected to communicate promptly and professionally via email.

• SUMMER SCHOOL CREDIT: You will have the opportunity to earn 5 summer school credits for participating. It will reflect on your transcript as “Summer Internship Program”.

Hi DVC Families,

We’re fast approaching the end of the school year! We are grateful for your support and encouragement during this time. We know that this has not been an easy road, and we have received several emails from families who have been struggling with physical, financial, or mental health over these past few weeks. If your family is struggling and you have yet to reach out to us, please do! We’re happy to support in any way we can.

Please note that the last day of classes is scheduled for this Thursday, May 21st. We will then transition to POL Preparation Days in Week 36, with POLs beginning in Week 37. Please see this document for the calendar for the remainder of the school year: DVC End of Year Calendar 2020

On Friday, May 22nd, our seniors will be coming to campus for drive-through pick-up of their caps, gowns, tassels, and more. A written explanation of this day can be found here, and a video explanation can be found by clicking on these words.

We’ve been able to celebrate students throughout this time of remote learning. Please check out the recipients of the All-Star Awards (staff to student) and Awesome Awards (student to student). We are encouraged by the resilience and strength of our wonderful DVC student community! Hi Families of the Class of 2020,

As you likely know from our Town Hall Meeting last week, we’re planning a Virtual Graduation on Thursday, June 11th at 6pm. We’re working hard to make it special and look forward to celebrating this resilient Class of 2020 together in this unique way!

Additionally, we’ve organized for seniors to be able to pick up their caps, gowns, tassels, and diploma covers on Friday, May 22nd.
