Hello Class of 2021!

We are excited to host our first official on-campus event, DVC Graduation Cap Decorating & Games, on Wednesday, April 14th and Thursday, April 15th!  At this event, student will have access to a host of art materials to customize their graduation mortarboards.  Feel free to bring your own materials if you’d like as well!

We’ll also have music and a variety of outdoor games to play at this event as well.

60 slots are available for either day and students can sign up through the link here.  Sign up today for a chance to see your friends, staff, and make your graduation statement through design!

Da Vinci Schools is hosting a Virtual Career Fair on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 12:30pm – 3:00pm. We are looking for panel speakers to share their careers and work experiences with Da Vinci students via ZOOM.  This is a great opportunity to expose our students to a variety of careers. You do not need a degree and/or certificate to be a part of  Da Vinci Schools Virtual Career Fair. We would like to encourage anyone that would like to speak about their experiences within their career or profession. If you are interested in volunteering as a virtual panel speaker, please complete the following Google form Virtual Career Fair Form  by Friday, April 9th, 2021 at 4:00pm.

To complete the Google form, you will be required to include your ZOOM link information. This information will be used for students to access your ZOOM room during the career fair. In the Google Form there is a step by step YouTube video explaining how to get started with your ZOOM account and how to schedule a meeting.  

Panel speakers will be hosting 20-25 minute sessions starting at 12:30pm with a 5-10 minute break in between sessions. The sessions will start at the following times: 12:30pm, 1:00pm, 1:30pm, 2:00pm, and 2:30pm. To help panel speakers prepare for their sessions, the following are questions you can consider preparing for and answering, Panel Speaker Career Questions. It is not required but recommended that you prepare a presentation.

Dear Families of DVC Seniors, the signup for you to select which of the in-person graduation ceremonies you wish to participate in is now live! You can access the signup using this link: DVC Graduation Ceremony Sign Up (Class of 2021)

The DVC graduation ceremonies will be held at 10am, 1pm, and 4pm on June 8 and June 9, and graduates will each be able to invite 4 guests.

We can’t wait to celebrate our awesome, resilient Class of 2021!

We are excited to begin offering in-person, on-campus opportunities for academic support and peer-to-peer connection to supplement our current distance learning program. These opportunities begin on Tuesday, April 13th. Emails were sent yesterday to parents and guardians who responded to our Phase II Reopening Survey for Parents and Guardians (the survey given during student-led conferences last week) and requested that their child participate in on-campus activities. Several factors were considered as we scheduled students to return to campus for in-person school activities, including parent response forms, student input, and staff input.

I know that many of you have reached out to me via phone or email, and I will be getting back to you over the next several days to take care of any adjustments, changes, or clarifications that are needed. These opportunities are all optional and supplemental, so if you would prefer that your student not participate at this time, you are welcome to make that choice. If you have yet to reach out and have questions or need clarification, please contact me at edsouza@davincischools.org.
