Parents and Guardians:
At this time, we have 3 cases of Pertussis (whooping cough) at DVS. Please see attachments from the Department of Public Health.
Pertussis is treated with antibiotics and even if your child is vaccinated, they can become ill because immunity lessens over time.
If your child is coughing, or starts to cough take your student to the doctor and let them know they may have been exposed to pertussis (whooping cough).
Thank you all and don’t hesitate to contact the school nurse with further questions.
