Hi DVC Families,
This message is intended for 11th and 12th grade students in the Computer Science Pathway at DVC. If you’re a guardian of one of those students, please talk to them about this terrific opportunity. There is an informational meeting scheduled for Friday, September 6th at 8:30am. Below is a summary of the opportunity:
DVC students in the Computer Science Pathway have an opportunity to work toward earning a paid summer internship with Northrop Grumman during the summer after their senior year and beyond! In order to do this, 11th and 12th grade students would participate in monthly featured presentations and conference calls after school coordinated and led by Northrop Grumman employees. 12th grade students would also participate in mentoring sessions with Northrop Grumman employees on Friday mornings (8:00am start time). Successful completion of the program would allow 12th grade students to secure a paid summer internship in the summer before college, and successful completion of that internship would enable to student to return for another paid summer internship the following year. This is a great opportunity to get real-world work experience with one of our local partners! Please consider attending the meeting to learn more information. Students are encouraged to come to the meeting with questions!
Sincerely,
Erin D’Souza
