We hope everyone had a pleasant and restful MLK Day weekend! The 10th grade team is starting their Revolutions project today, and the 9th graders are continuing to plan out the greening of the DVC campus.
Family Association Meeting is today, 1/20 at 6:00pm.
We will be discussing second semester updates and looking ahead a bit at plans for our students experience over the next few years of high school. All are welcome.
Lockdown Drill Thursday
We will also be having a lockdown drill this Thursday mid-morning. We are coordinating the drill with the local sheriff’s office, who had reviewed our emergency procedures and helped us refine our practices. Students will be told ahead of time this is a drill, and we will debrief afterwards with police, going over what went well and what we can improve on. Please feel free (even encouraged) to discuss the drill with your student before or after we have the drill.
Dance Photos
We have had some requests for dance photos from semester 1. In case you missed them, here they are, thanks to DVD senior Josh Caviness: https://flic.kr/ps/2Z2gwq
The 10th grade team did a cool chemistry lab last week – here are some pictures:
