Families, thank you for coming in for Student Led Conferences this week. We greatly appreciate having these conversations, and seeing students grow in their ability to lead the conversation about their schoolwork and how it relates to their goals beyond high school. Next week we resume our normal schedule with school running from 9:00am to 3:55pm.
Teacher Interview Days
It is hiring season again for our expanding school (we are doubling the size of our 9th grade team, and need three additional teachers as a result), and that means that we will be hosting teachers for interview days over the upcoming months. Our first interview day here at DVC will be this coming Thursday, March 9th. If you are interested and available to join in the parent interview panel, we would love your input. We have interview sessions from:
DVC Teaching Candidate Interviews
Thursday, March 9th
- 9:00am to 10:45am
- 1:15pm to 3:00pm
We will also be hosting teacher interview days on Thursday, March 30th and Thursday, April 20th. If you are thinking ahead and want to reserve a spot either of those days (times will be similar, but perhaps not exactly the same) – let me know as well!

Internship Opportunities
Students – here are some great internship opportunities coming up!
LA Youth at Work is recruiting High School juniors and seniors for paid summer internships with Metro or in Health Care.
*The students must register to attend 3 sessions. The first session is the Job Skills Workshop at USC on Saturday, March 4th from 9am-12pm.
- Students must also be 16 years old and eligible to work in the US.
- Internship dates/times are: June 14-August 11th from 8am-5pm
