Happy Monday everyone. All 10th and 11th grade students will be taking the PSAT this Wednesday. Both tests are great practice for the SAT, which students will want to take second semester of their junior year, or very early in their senior year. While some colleges are starting to look at students’ overall profile and weigh standardized tests slightly less than before they remain a huge factor in college admissions, especially for the CSU and UC systems. You can see the UC and CSU GPA/standardized test entrance standards below. The UC system’s admissions process is more complex, but courses taken, GPA and SAT/ACT (either is fine) scores are still the most important factors.
