Next week is both Spirit Week and Red Ribbon Week! We ask that students show their DVC spirit by participating in the fun themed days planned by our students in Leadership! There is also a DVC Kickback scheduled for Friday, 10/29 from 4:30pm – 7:30pm in the West Plaza. This event is free and for current DVC students only.

This week we had a great School Site Council Meeting where we reviewed our progress toward our LCAP measurable outcomes by reviewing our Student-Led Conference attendance as well as the results of our Fall Parent/Guardian and Student Surveys. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us via survey. 

Looking ahead, there are a few important college-related events this week:

• Makeup PSAT and SAT Testing: Please reach out to Andrew Daramola (adaramola@davincischools.org) if your student missed the Wednesday, October 13th test administration as the makeup test dates are this week.
• FAFSA Information Webinar: The Da Vinci Schools Counselors are hosting a FAFSA Informational Webinar for our current 12th graders and their families to support this important part of the college application process. Please join at 5pm at this link: https://zoom.us/j/94265067126

The Annenberg School at USC will be hosting the Annenberg High School Day (AHSD) on Saturday October 23rd from 10AM-1PM via zoom. AHSD is a bi-annual program that brings together local high school youth from throughout Southern California. Youth will receive hands-on immersive training in journalism, communication, media and public relations. They also learn about USC Annenberg’s undergraduate programs and services.
