DVC Families, it’s already May! Last Friday’s prom, “A Swan Lake Soiree” was truly beautiful. The students looked amazing, and a wonderful time was had. May also marks the beginning of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, a time to honor and celebrate the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of AAPI communities.

Da Vinci Schools Family Survey: DVC families, your voice matters. We invite you to take a few moments during the month of May to complete the Da Vinci Schools Family Survey that will be sent out. You will receive messages with your personalized survey link directly from Kelvin Education beginning on Monday May 4th – please take a few minutes to click on the link and take the survey before Friday May 29th. Your feedback plays a vital role in shaping the learning environment at your child’s school and across our entire organization. The spring survey includes questions about school culture, teaching and learning, student experiences, and overall satisfaction-including how likely you are to recommend Da Vinci to others. Your honest input helps us celebrate what’s working and identify areas where we can improve.

Final Community Learning Day Learning Logs: We had the last CLD day on April 24th. Please make sure your student completes their learning log for credit! We will be following up on this in Advisory this week.
Senior Celebration CD & Senior Decision Day: We are excited to celebrate our seniors and their next steps at our Senior Celebration CD on May 7th, and at our Senior Decision Day on Wednesday, May 13th! We will have a senior parade around the DVC campus at 12:00pm and then seniors will head over to the gym for a “final recess.” Follow our Class of ‘26 on Instagram @dvcclassof26 to see where they’re headed after graduating from DVC!
Senior Awards Night: We have a special night coming up on Wednesday, May 20th!
- Photography Exhibition @ 4:30pm (open to all): Students in the DVC Photography Seminar have prepared a special series of editorial shoots that will be on display in the Black Box Theater starting at 4:30pm. Please come to enjoy their work! This is the pre-show to the Senior Awards Night.
- Senior Awards Night @ 5:30pm (seniors & families, by invitation only): We are excited to celebrate students in the Class of 2026 who will be receiving awards for their accomplishments during high school in the Black Box Theater. Invited students and families have received an invitation to this event via email. Please RSVP if you have not yet done so, and feel free to come early to check out the Photography Exhibition that is the pre-show!
E.A.T. Update: Here is the E.A.T. (Environmental Action Team) “Save Our Planet” newsletter for this week. The topic for this fifth issue is African Forest Elephants!
Tutoring: Does your student need additional academic support? Tutoring in all subject areas (except pathways and art) is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3:35-4:30 in room 3205 (Sandoval). See the flyer here for more information!
