Exhibition Night is TONIGHT at 5:30pm at DVC! We invite all families, friends, and community members to see our students showcase their projects. All DVC students are required to attend; students in grades 10 & 12 will have their projects on display. Canned food and staff gratitude basket donations accepted! 🙂

Our 12th graders visited UC Irvine this week and got special DVC alumni-led tours of the campus. On Wednesday, 11/15, our seniors will Press Submit on their Cal State and UC college applications, and we wish them the best of luck throughout this college application season!

We had a great spirit week at DVC, including celebrations of our All-Star Award winners and the newly inducted members of the National Honor Society! And now we turn our attention to our biggest night of the semester – Exhibition Night! We invite all families, friends, and community members to join us on Thursday, 11/16 from 5:30 – 7:00pm as our students showcase their projects. All DVC students are required to attend; students in grades 10 & 12 will have their projects on display.
This week is a three-day week for students! There is no school on Thursday, 11/9 (Professional Development) and Friday, 11/10 (Veterans Day).
Shelter-in-Place Drill: The Da Vinci high schools located at the 201 N. Douglas location (including DVC) will be participating in a Shelter-in-Place Drill on Wednesday, November 8th. Shelter-in-Place drills are designed to educate students and staff and to provide practice opportunities for what to initially do in the event of an on-campus or nearby emergency that requires a lockdown.
Senior Portraits: This is the final opportunity for the Class of 2024 to take their senior portraits with our photographer, Stacee Lianna. If you haven’t taken your photo yet, please sign up so that we can include you in the yearbook. PSAT Scores: PSAT scores for 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will be available on November 6th. Students are/will be able to access their scores through their College Board account at this link. Highlights from this week included a 9th grade presentation on Substance Use & Abuse, a book tour by Yanely Espinal, author of Mind Your Money, and an 11th grade Ethnic Studies field trip to the Japanese American Museum!
Next week is Spirit Week! We encourage school wide participation in the following themed days:
Halloween Costume Guidance: Please help remind all students that while costumes are encouraged, students are not allowed to bring prop weapons, full face masks, or excessive gore/blood. All costumes must be school appropriate, and students not in costume must adhere to dress code.
