Are you a high school student who loves creating art? Whether you paint, draw, print, or mix it all together, this is your chance to be seen. ESMoA is calling all student artists in grades 9 through 12 across Los Angeles County to submit original, wall-based artwork for our juried exhibition, Time of Growth.
This three-day student exhibition will take place September 11 through 13, 2025, in conjunction with the final days of Experience 61: GROW, our current exhibition featuring over 60 professional works. Twenty to thirty student artworks will be displayed, and the top three winners in each category will be announced at the Open House and Awards Celebration on Saturday, September 13.
Submission Deadline: Sunday, August 31st at 11:59 PM
Exhibition Dates: September 11 – 13, 2025 at ESMoA in Lawndale

About the Competition:

Transformational Family Counseling is hosting a two-day Mental Health Summit event on Thursday, July 31st from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm and Friday, August 1stfrom 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Both days will include a meal, a keynote speaker, and various workshops and seminars, led by national, state and local experts in the areas of youth mental health.
Session Topics will include Suicide Prevention, Emotional Intelligence, Trauma Informed Care, Bullying Prevention, Resiliency, and more!
The goals of the Summit are to increase mental health literacy among our youth, to reduce the stigma associated with mental health disorders in our community and to strengthen community response to youth development through awareness, knowledge, connectivity and access.

We are excited to share that Elizabeth Ornelas has been selected as Assistant Principal of Da Vinci Communications.
Elizabeth is an experienced educator with over 20 years of service in diverse school settings. She earned her Master’s degree in Education from Loyola Marymount University and recently completed the USC Leadership Academy for school administration. Elizabeth is passionate about supporting teachers and fostering students’ social-emotional wellness alongside academic success. The daughter of immigrants and a proud first-generation college graduate, Elizabeth was born and raised in Inglewood, where she now lives with her husband, their two children, a dog, and a cat.
Elizabeth joins Andrew Daramola who was selected to serve as Principal of Da Vinci Communications effective July 1, replacing Erin D’Souza who recently transitioned into a new role as Executive Director of LifeLaunch.
Elizabeth replaces Assistant Principal Kirk Takeyama, who recently resigned from Da Vinci Schools. We wish him well in his future endeavors.
