Week 10
Thank you to all of our families for an excellent week of Student-Led Conferences! It was great to interact with our families, check in on student progress, and make plans for ending the semester strong. Your participation in our signature practices, like SLC, are one of the things that make DVC so special. Students also had a busy week with the PSAT and SAT, as well as the CHYA course for our 9th grade students. We’re really in the thick of things!
The next time we’ll open our doors for visitors will be Wednesday, November 19th at 5:30pm for Exhibition Night! All grade levels will be showcasing their projects on this special evening. Please save the date!
Parent Advisory Committee Meeting
Our first Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting is coming up on Thursday, October 23rd, from 4:30-5:30 on Zoom. Here is the link for the meeting. Thank you to everyone who submitted an application to serve on the Parent Advisory Committee. We will be announcing the selected members of the PAC at our meeting. However, everyone is welcome to attend PAC meetings, and we would love your participation!
Professional Development Day
As a reminder, there is no school for students this Friday, October 24th.
Fall Dance
The Fall Dance, the Gatsby Gala, is also on Friday, October 24th. Ticket prices are increasing on Monday (10/19), so get your tickets now! Tickets are $25 until Monday, when they will increase to $30. Tutoring
Need a reboot after checking in about grades at SLCs? We are thrilled to offer free tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays with Mr. Alex Rojas (from PJ Test Prep) from 3:35 – 4:30pm in Mr. Sandoval’s Room (3405). In addition, students from the National Honor Society tutor peers on Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30pm. No sign up required!
