Week 11
Welcome to Week 11, families! We were excited to hold our first Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting this past Thursday, and we look forward to this week’s Spirit Week and Halloween CD.
PAC
A special thank you to all parents who attended the PAC meeting. We discussed the purpose of the PAC and introduced our voting members for the 2025-26 school year. Here is the slide deck from last Thursday’s meeting. Please feel free to join us at our next meeting on December 4th at 4:30 (Zoom).
CLD Day
We have an upcoming Community Learning Day (CLD) on Monday, November 10th. All students should have received an email to sign-up on through the 11/10 CLD Workshop Request Form. Students may choose to learn from home or attend an on campus workshop. Here is the 11/10 CLD Workshop Descriptions.
Halloween
We are excited for Halloween and our upcoming spirit week (see below), and we encourage students to wear costumes if they would like. As a reminder, Halloween costumes must be school and dress code appropriate, face coverings cannot be worn, and no weapons or items that look like weapons are allowed.
Spirit Week
College Field Trip
Our 10th grade students will be taking a field trip on Wednesday, October 29th to UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton, and Pepperdine University. Students have their choice of visiting any of these three excellent schools, based on space. Please make sure to turn in permission slips as soon as possible.
Tutoring
Need a reboot after checking in about grades at SLCs? We are thrilled to offer free tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays with Mr. Alex Rojas (from PJ Test Prep) from 3:35 – 4:30pm in Mr. Sandoval’s Room (3405). In addition, students from the National Honor Society tutor peers on Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30pm, also in room 3405. No sign up required!
