(9th-11th Grade) UCLA Summer Sessions for HS Students

High school students have many options to get ahead and earn college credit at UCLA. Our summer offerings include:

Precollege Summer Institutes (35+ Institutes)
Provides motivated and driven high school students the opportunity to earn college credit in one to three weeks while advancing their academic career and abilities in an area of study of their interest. Eligible applicants who successfully submit their Institute Registration Form will be reviewed and notified via email of an admission decision within 2-3 weeks.
Summer College Immersion Program (SCIP, SCIP+, eSCIP)
Designed to emulate the undergraduate experience, SCIP provides students access to a broad range of UCLA’s academic expertise and resources through lectures, workshops, and seminars, as well as UCLA coursework. Eligible applicants who successfully submit their SCIP Registration Form will be reviewed and notified via email of an admission decision within 2-3 weeks.
Summer Courses (150+ courses)
High school students may enroll in 1-2 approved courses only (10 units max) from a multitude of subject areas and modalities that best serve their interest based on flexibility & variety. No documentation such as transcripts, SAT scores, or letter of recommendation is required; students must complete the Summer Course Registration Form to enroll in Summer Courses.

UCLA Summer Sessions offers a variety of summer programs for high school students to earn UCLA college credit and experience an immersive introduction to college life. The Summer Scholars Support Program is a need- and merit-based scholarship opportunity for California 9th-11th grade high school students that helps pay for UCLA Summer Sessions.

(Seniors) 25-26 Earl Woods Scholarship NOW OPEN!

Hello Class of 2025!

TGR Foundation is excited to extend the opportunity and invite your high school seniors to apply for the 2025-2026 Earl Woods scholarship.

The Earl Woods Scholar Program was created in 2006 to honor the vision and spirit of Earl Woods, Tiger’s father, and mentor, to continue his legacy of caring and sharing. The program goes far beyond financial assistance. Holding one of the highest graduation rates among scholarship programs in the country, our unique program is committed to ensuring every scholar is supported throughout their time in college and beyond. Once selected, our scholars receive continued guidance throughout college with mentorship, personal and professional development workshops, and internship placement assistance to ensure our scholars succeed and graduate with their bachelor’s degree.

The scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors, Class of 2025, in select schools in the Los Angeles area with a minimum 3.0 GPA that have plans to enroll full-time in an accredited four-year university in the United States in the upcoming academic year. Successful candidates will be selected on the basis of academic achievement, demonstrated financial need and a proven commitment to community service.

Our application is available online. Please share the attached document with students who you believe are eligible to apply for the scholarship. It provides a general overview of the scholar program, eligibility requirements and documents to gather prior to starting the application. Students will also find the link to the application and can click on “Apply Today” or use the QR code to apply. The application is due by March 11, 2025.

Selected recipients will receive a scholarship of up to $5,000 (renewable for up to four years) and will be provided with holistic student support throughout their college career. Finalists will need to be available for an in-person interview in April 2025. Recipients will be announced in May.
