Week 3 Schedule
We hope you are able to rest and enjoy Labor Day Weekend! We will welcome everyone back to school on Tuesday, 9/3 at 8:30am. We’ve had two terrific weeks of school so far and looking forward to many more!
Cell Phone Policy: DVC is implementing a new Cell Phone & Personal Electronics Policy effective Tuesday, 9/3. You can see the entire policy at this link. The most important piece of the policy to understand is this: Any cell phone that is seen during instructional time will be confiscated (no warnings) and turned into administration for parent/guardian pick up. Our overall goal is for responsible digital citizenship and academic success. We appreciate your cooperation and partnership.
Back to School Night: Please mark your calendars for Back to School Night on Thursday, 9/12 at 5:15pm! All DVC parents and guardians are expected to attend. This is an evening designed for parents and guardians to be in their student’s classrooms and learn about the courses they are taking. Students are not required to attend. Parents/guardians will receive information about logging into Canvas and PowerSchool at this event. The schedule is as follows:
5:15 Welcome & Overview in Black Box Theater
5:45 Advisory
6:00 Period 1
6:15 Period 2
6:30 Period 3
6:45 Period 4
7:00 Period 5
7:15 Period 6
Announcements Deck: Please bookmark the DVC Announcements Deck where you can find information about upcoming events at DVC, including athletic tryouts, robotics meetings, club events, and more.
Seminar Schedule Changes: The last day to complete a seminar change request is Friday, 9/6. Here is the form to request a change: DVC Schedule Change Request Form We will do our best to accommodate as many requests as possible, but not all requests can be honored. Please note that the form is only accessible by students through their DV google account. Students are required to attend the classes they are assigned unless they are given a new schedule by school staff.
Parking Passes: Information about student parking at DV is found in this letter. If you need a parking pass, please see Jackie Martinez, DVC Office Manager. You can also contact her via email at jmartinez@davincischools.org.

Student Parking at Da Vinci
For students planning to park a vehicle at school: Please review the Student Parking Letter to Parents and Students. This letter contains important information regarding parking at the 201 campus, including the requirement for all vehicles to display a valid parking permit and details about the overflow parking arrangements at the parking structure located at 181 S. Douglas Street.
Below is a summary of the key points addressed in the letter:
- Parking Permits: All vehicles parked on the 201 campus must display a valid parking permit during school hours. Failure to do so may result in a citation or towing.
- Overflow Parking: We have secured overflow parking at 181 S. Douglas Street, effective September 3, 2024. Specific instructions for using this parking area are included in the letter.
- Behavior Expectations: Students are reminded to treat the parking facilities with respect, as representatives of the Da Vinci Schools Community.
