Friday was a special day at DVC, from our awesome celebration of Black culture at our Black History Month CD to our Spring Semi-Formal! Special thanks to the Black Student Union (BSU) for putting on such an engaging, informative, and fun production. Special thanks to DVC’s Leadership for everything that went into making this dance a success!

There are two events coming up this week that we’d love to see families at:

  • Parent Advisory Committee Meeting on Monday, 2/26: Parents, students, and staff are welcome to attend our Parent Advisory Committee on Monday, 2/26 at 4:30pm in person (1st floor, Mona Lisa Room) or via this zoom link. We invite you to join us as we discuss what we’ve been doing this year to support our multilingual learners and how we can continue to improve in this area. We will also be reviewing our Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) – Goal 2 and Mid-Year Update.  Please see below for the agenda:

  • Photography Exhibition on Wednesday, 2/28: Please support DVC students as they showcase their photography at El Segundo Public Library (111 W Mariposa Ave) from 5:30 – 7:30pm!

And finally, please sign up for your Student-Led Conference if you have not already done so. We are looking forward to connecting with our families during the week of March 4th. Each grade level has a special area of focus, and we are excited to connect with you. Please review the following grade-level links for more information:

  • Wednesday, 2/28: Photography Exhibition @ El Segundo Public Library 5:30pm – 7:30pm
  • Monday, 3/4: Student-Led Conferences Begin (1:50pm dismissal on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday)
  • Monday, 3/4: Coffee with the Principals @ 9am (in-person @ DVC) or 4pm (via Zoom – link here)
  • Wednesday, 3/6: SAT (11th grade)
  • Thursday, 3/7: DECA State Conference Begins
  • Monday, 3/11: Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week Planning Session @ 4:30pm (in-person and via zoom)
  • Friday, 3/15 – No School – Professional Development Day
  • Wednesday, 3/27: Exhibition Night @ 5:30pm
  • Thursday, 3/28: Da Vinci Trades Fair 1pm – 5pm (sign up here)
  • Friday, 3/29: No School – Cesar Chavez Day
  • Monday, 4/1 – Friday, 4/5: No School – Spring Break
