The final week of the school year has arrived! We are proud of our students for preparing for POLs and finals and finishing the school year strong. Remember that how you finish is more important than how you start!
As the year comes to a close, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our incredible DVC parents and guardians. We’ve had a terrific year and it’s thanks to your involvement and support as we partner in setting up our students for success in college, career, and life! We appreciate you and look forward to serving your students even better next year!
PowerSchool Access, Canvas Access & Report Cards: Please note that PowerSchool access has been disabled as teachers finalize grades for the semester. We will be mailing end-of-semester report cards on Wednesday, June 12th, and we will restore PowerSchool access for families after grades go out in the mail. Teachers are encouraged to disable student/parent/guardian access during this period when grades are being finalized.
Senior Activities & Graduation: An overview of our final week for the Class of 2024 is listed below:
- Monday, 6/3: Senior Breakfast & Graduation Practice in the GYM (starts at 8:30am)
- Tuesday, 6/4 @ 8:30am: Beach Day (details on permission slip – arrive at school at 8:30am)
- Wednesday, 6/5: Last Day of Classes (8:30am start)
- Thursday, 6/6: Graduation Ceremony (graduates at DV by 4pm; ceremony starts at 5pm)
- Monday, 6/10: Gown Return & Diploma Pick Up (9am – 11am)
Summer School: We will be offering Summer School for students in need of credit recovery as well as students currently in 9th grade wishing to take Geometry over the summer in order to accelerate in math (specific requirements must be met in order to qualify for the course). Summer School details HERE and below:
- Summer School Session 1 Dates: Tuesday, June 11 – Friday, June 28 (no class on June 19th for Juneteenth)
- Summer School Session 2 Dates: Tuesday, July 9 – Thursday, July 25
- Summer School Time: Classes run from 8:30am – 11:30am
- Summer School Location: Classes will be held at DVC (201 N. Douglas St. El Segundo, CA 90245)

Class of 2025 Senior Portraits: Rising seniors- it’s your turn! The Class of 2025 should sign up to take their senior portrait with our photographer, Stacee Lianna, this summer at this link: https://book.usesession.com/i/BVNtg0TnF. Questions can be directed to seniors@staceelianna.com.
