The Office of Admissions and Recruitment at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) is thrilled to host their On-the-Spot Admissions and Application Workshop!

This is your chance to meet one-on-one with our admissions staff to explore your eligibility for Fall 2025 enrollment. If you meet the requirements, you could receive conditional admission on the spot! Our team will also guide you through the application process to ensure everything is ready to go. Email Communication Expectations & School Absence Reminders

Dear DVC Families,

Communication between parents and school staff is essential, and we want to ensure you know what to expect when reaching out. Based on feedback from our recent Parent Advisory Committee Meeting, we have developed these guidelines to provide clarity on response times while recognizing that teachers and staff spend most of their day directly supporting students. This document outlines our approach to email responses, helping to set clear expectations while ensuring our focus remains on student learning. We’ve also included information for students and families regarding communication specifically surrounding school absences. College & Career Rep Visit This Week: 2/24-2/28

Hello DVC,

Here are the list of college/career reps that will be visiting us during lunch this week:

  • Thursday, February 27th@ 11:45 am: U.S. Navy

All college/career rep visits will take place in Mr. Jackson’s room (3203). As a reminder, please grab your lunch and head upstairs to Jackson’s class. No extended lunch passes will be given.

Students of all grade levels (9-12) can attend the college rep visits.

Sign Up for Student-Led Conferences

Sign ups for Student-Led Conferences (SLCs) are open! We expect that every student has at least one parent/guardian in attendance at the conference. Thank you for making special arrangements to step away from your obligations to meet with us; this is a great time to get an update on how your student is doing at school and to connect with their teachers. Conferences will be held on the following dates and times:

  • Monday, March 3, 2:00 – 3:30 PM
  • Tuesday, March 4, 2:00 – 3:30 PM
  • Thursday, March 6, 2:00 – 3:30 PM

In addition to reviewing grades and academic progress, each grade-level has a specific area of focus. Please use the links below to sign up today! All parents/guardians must be signed up for a conference no later than Friday, February 28th.

Week 24 Schedule

On Thursday, we honored Black History Month with incredible student and staff performances in the gym. Thank you to the Black Student Union and Leadership and the many, many other students and staff who came together to create this beautiful celebration. Special congratulations to students who received All-Star Awards for their citizenship, work ethic, resilience, and improvement. Check out instagram @dvchighschool for a recap!

Blood Drive on Monday, 2/24: Sign up HERE for the Red Cross Blood Drive organized by DVC’s National Honor Society! The event will take place in the Wiseburn-Da Vinci Gym Skybox.

Student-Led Conferences begin on Monday, 3/3: Please sign up for a conference no later than Friday, 2/28! At least one parent/guardian is expected to attend the conference. Sign ups and information are below:

WASC Accreditation Visit begins on Monday, 3/10: We are excited to welcome a visiting committee of four educators from California high schools to review and evaluate our amazing high school! If you are interested in sharing your experience at DVC with the committee, please reply to this email and I’ll send you a special invitation to the regularly-scheduled Parent Advisory Committee Meeting on Tuesday, 3/11 at 5pm.

Wednesday Snacks for DVC Staff: We are thankful to the families who have provided us with snacks or treats for our meetings on Wednesdays. If you have already contributed this academic year, please do not sign up again.
