Picture Days are Thursday and Friday! Students will be getting their pictures taken during English class. If your student has English class during an “A Day,” they will take their photo on Thursday. Hi DVC Families,
Just a reminder that we are offering tech office hours to help our students with any technical difficulties they are having, including connecting personal computers or chromebooks to the Da Vinci wifi. Please encourage your student to come to tech office hours in the Wolves’ Den (3rd floor, close to the front office) before school on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Our tech department is happy to help you get everything situated for a successful start to the year!

Happy Sunday, DVC Families!
We had a great first week of school. It was wonderful to have our students back on campus. Thank you for choosing us and trusting us with your child’s education. We take our responsibility seriously and seek to provide an engaging learning environment where students can thrive.
We are very proud of our students for the way they took health and safety seriously this week. Our DVC students did a great job keeping their masks on while indoors all week long. We also appreciate our families who have arrangements this week to keep their students home if they did not pass the self-screening that we ask all families to do daily before coming to school.

Chromebooks: Students will need to have regular, reliable access to a computer at home starting soon. If you have already pre-registered to receive a chromebook for home use (i.e. a “homebook”), please plan to pick it up when you come to Back to School Night (Wednesday, September 1st at 5:30pm). Tech Support: Our tech department will be providing support for all students who are having trouble accessing their Da Vinci accounts next week between 8:00am and 8:30am from Monday to Thursday. If your student would like to bring their own personal laptop to school with them and they are having trouble connecting to our wifi, please have them arrive a few minutes early to school and check in at the Wolves’ Den (i.e. the conference table at the main entrance to our floor). Our IT department will be happy to assist.
School Picture Day: On Thursday, 8/26 and Friday, 8/27, students will be getting their school pictures taken. Seminars: We call the elective classes at the end of the day our “seminars.” We will be posting the offerings and asking students to indicate their preferences on Thursday, August 26th. Seminars begin on Monday, August 30th.
Overnighter: In order to ensure the health and safety of our Da Vinci students, Da Vinci has decided to delay the Overnighter events until COVID case rates improve to a level that lowers the risk of the highly transmissible COVID Delta variant. At this time, the 9th and 10th graders are not scheduled to attend an overnighter in September and the event has been removed from the calendar.
