Week 25 Schedule

Friday was a special day at DVC, from our awesome celebration of Black culture at our Black History Month CD to our Spring Semi-Formal! Special thanks to the Black Student Union (BSU) for putting on such an engaging, informative, and fun production. Special thanks to DVC’s Leadership for everything that went into making this dance a success!

There are two events coming up this week that we’d love to see families at:

  • Parent Advisory Committee Meeting on Monday, 2/26: Parents, students, and staff are welcome to attend our Parent Advisory Committee on Monday, 2/26 at 4:30pm in person (1st floor, Mona Lisa Room) or via this zoom link. We invite you to join us as we discuss what we’ve been doing this year to support our multilingual learners and how we can continue to improve in this area. We will also be reviewing our Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) – Goal 2 and Mid-Year Update.  Please see below for the agenda:

  • Photography Exhibition on Wednesday, 2/28: Please support DVC students as they showcase their photography at El Segundo Public Library (111 W Mariposa Ave) from 5:30 – 7:30pm!

And finally, please sign up for your Student-Led Conference if you have not already done so. We are looking forward to connecting with our families during the week of March 4th. Announcements from Real World Learning Director (2.22.2024)

We are thrilled to announce that Da Vinci Schools will be hosting its first-ever Trades Fair! This event is an excellent opportunity for our students to explore various career paths and gain insights into the world of skilled trades.

Date: Thursday, March 28th
Time: 1pm to 5pm (The Trades Fair will be open to parents from 4pm to 5pm)
Location: Da Vinci Schools
Black Box Theater
201 N Douglas St. El Segundo

At the Trades Fair, students will have the chance to interact with schools from different trades, participate in hands-on activities, and learn about the diverse opportunities available in fields such as aviation mechanics, automotive technology, birthwork, construction, cosmetology and make-up artistry, dental hygienist, fire technology, welding, and more.

Week 24 Schedule

Wishing you all a safe, fun and restful holiday weekend! School will not be in session on Monday, February 19th in honor of President’s Day Holiday; school will resume on Tuesday, February 20th. We are looking forward to our Black History Month CD and our Spring SemiFormal Dance on Friday, February 23rd!

 

Save the Dates: Please mark your calendars for the following important events for students & families:

 

  • Week of March 3rd – Student-Led Conferences: If you have not already done so, please mark your calendars for our upcoming Student-Led Conferences. These will be held during the week of March 3rd, and sign ups will be available for families on Tuesday, 2/20. Please look for an email with instructions on how to sign up! As a reminder, all parents/guardians are expected to attend a conference for their student. We look forward to the opportunity to connect with you!

 

  • Wednesday, March 27 – Exhibition Night: We are gearing up for our Spring Exhibition Night! Our 9th and 11th grade students will be showcasing their projects and all students are expected to attend! We encourage families, friends, and community members to attend this special event – feel free to invite guests! The event will run from 5:30 – 7:00pm.
