Happy Sunday, DVC Students & Families! 

End-of-Semester Awards: We ended last week with a celebration of 215 DVC scholars who earned Honor Roll (GPA of 3.5 – 3.9) and High Honor Roll (GPA of 4.0 and above) for Semester 1 of this school year. This is a terrific accomplishment and we are so proud of our students! Certificates for honor roll will be distributed in classes this week. We also awarded special recognition to students who demonstrated the values of our community with our end-of-semester All-Star Awards. Congratulations to all who received awards on Friday! 

Seminars: We resume our seminar program this week. Students, please check PowerSchool to ensure that you attend the course you are enrolled in. If you would like to request a change to your seminar, please fill out this form: Seminar Change Request Form You must continue to attend the seminar listed in PowerSchool until a change has been made in your schedule.

Dual Enrollment Spring Information Session led by El Camino College

This 1-hour workshop is for prospective high school students, already registered high school students, and parents to receive an overview of Dual Enrollment in El Camino College Classes for the Spring 2023 Semester. The entire process (from applying for admission to the last day of class) will be covered.

This is a great opportunity for prospective students, already registered high school students, and parents to learn more about Dual Enrollment for the Spring 2023 Semester and ask any questions they may have.

Hey DVC Students!

This upcoming Wednesday, January 18th, let’s go ice skating at the Toyota Sports Center. Head to MySchoolBucks to get a ticket that covers both entry and skate rentals for only $20. You can even buy tickets for friends and family! Get them quick because only 120 tickets are available.

We had a great start to Semester 2 at DVC! One of the highlights of our week was hosting visits by the 8th graders at Dana Middle School. It’s enrollment season and we’re gearing up to welcome another class of DVC students. MLK, Jr. Holiday (No School on Monday, 1/16): Monday is a school holiday held in honor of civil rights champion Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who championed the cause of justice, racial equality, and love between people regardless of the color of their skin. Dr. King’s hope and faith in a society committed to driving out the darkness of injustice and racism in our country with the light of justice and love is one we continue to reflect on, teach, and strive to embody with our students.
